The expo for every simulation pro – and those who aspire to be one
Professional racing simulators are nothing for the average Joe – no doubt about it. Top models with hydraulic chairs, VR glasses, manual sequential gearboxes and other components to improve realism are frequently as expensive as a high-end automobile: they can cost up to 100,000 Euro without even trying too hard. No wonder that even professional drivers put in training hours on these virtual simulations that aren't much different from the real thing. Good news: it's possible to enter the SimRacing world without a winning lottery ticket. Our sim racing exhibitors have the latest updates from the simulation world for you. And the best thing: you can huddle into a cockpit yourself, take the car for a spin and maybe even get an upgrade for your simulator at home.
Hardware & Gaming
A cockpit in the living room: gaming for everybody
For the first time ever in the history of the ADAC SimRacing Expo we have a special treat for all passionate gamers who like to step on the gas – with their gamepad in the comfort of their home. Thanks to the newest gaming consoles' graphic capabilities, the racetrack experience has reached new heights in immersion, in both arcade racers and simulations. The ADAC SimRacing Expo lets you try out the latest AAA games on innovative hardware so you can be in the center of the action at the motorsport event of the year. VR glasses, special gaming seats, steering wheels, pedal sets and much more – you will find everything your heart desires to tune up your gaming room to the next level.
RC Car Model Making
Get your remote control ready – it's going to be a wild ride
Radio controlled model cars – RC cars for short – are anything but child's play. That's why the ADAC SimRacing Expo is a Mecca for model maker hobbyists. They can witness the warm-up of the Euro Touring Series for on- and off-road races at the ring°arena and can explore the Expo area, too: here everybody can check out the small race cars in detail and can even take them for a little spin. Furthermore, a RC car exhibit presents the huge variety of model making. These small cars are as versatile as their big brothers: they can reach speeds of up to 80 km/h and come with both internal combustion engines and electric motors. And there's no limit to their variety: flat track cars, buggies, monster trucks and trucks – all are available as radio controlled models in many different scales.
Fun for the whole family
If there is one thing about motorsports that excites both young and old, it's slot car tracks – well known in Germany under their brand name Carrera. The iconic slots in the center of the interlocking straights and curves have kept the little racers on track for over 60 years. Two metal liners on the track supply the cars with power, hand controllers determine the speed of the miniature racers – fun for the whole family guaranteed. Today, the slot car market has grown substantially and has seen other manufacturers enter it, such as Fly, Revell, Ninco, SCX, Scalextric and many more. The ADAC SimRacing Expo is happy to provide a huge variety of accessories that can be purchased by both high-speed racers and nostalgic drivers that want to relive their childhood memories: try and buy is the motto of each exhibitor.
